1. Introduction
Welcome to Fliqr ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By using Fliqr, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect and Permissions
Fliqr is designed to connect users for anonymous, random video and audio calls. To provide this service, we require the following permissions:
- Camera Permission: Required to transmit your video during a live call.
- Microphone Permission: Required to transmit your audio during a live call.
- Internet Access: Required to connect you with other users and to serve advertisements.
Important Note on Media Data: We DO NOT record, save, or store any video, audio, or chat data on our servers. Fliqr utilizes WebRTC technology, meaning all streams are routed Peer-to-Peer directly between users. Once the call ends, no media data remains.
3. Data Storage and Signaling
To establish a connection, we use Firebase Realtime Database as a signaling server. We do not require user registration or collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as names or emails. We temporarily process network routing data (ICE candidates/offers) which is deleted immediately after the connection is established. Please note that in P2P connections, your IP address may be visible to the other party.
4. Data Security and Encryption
We prioritize your data security. All data transmitted through our signaling servers is protected using industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption to ensure that your connection metadata remains secure from unauthorized access during transit.
5. Third-Party Services (Ads and Analytics)
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use non-personally identifiable information, such as your device's Advertising ID, to personalize ads. We do not sell or trade any user data to third parties. You can opt-out of personalized ads through your device settings.
6. User Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your data. Since Fliqr does not collect personal identifiers like emails, our processing is limited to anonymous technical IDs. Users have the right to stop all data collection by simply uninstalling the App.
7. User Conduct and Disclaimer
Fliqr is a live communication platform. By using the App, you acknowledge that you are communicating with strangers at your own risk. Users are strictly prohibited from illegal or harassing behavior. We are not liable for any content shared or actions taken by users during live sessions.
8. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we discover an underage user, we will take immediate steps to restrict their access.
