Privacy Policy
Last Updated: [Current Date]
Welcome to Fliqr. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. By using Fliqr, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We DO NOT Collect
Fliqr is a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) communication platform. Because of this architecture:
- No Media Recording: We do not record, store, or monitor your video, audio, or text chat streams. Data flows directly between users (or via standard WebRTC relay servers) and is never saved on our databases.
- No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not require or collect your real name, phone number, email address, or physical address to create an account.
2. Information We Collect
To provide our matchmaking and moderation services, we collect minimal, anonymized data:
- Device Identifiers (UUID): We generate an anonymous, random ID to manage your coins, in-app preferences, game stats, and blocklists.
- Profile Data: Your chosen Display Name (nickname) and avatar color.
- Moderation Logs: If you use the "Report" feature, we store the reporter's UUID, the reported user's UUID, the reason, and a timestamp to enforce our banning system.
To establish a direct video/audio connection between you and another user, IP addresses must be exchanged under the hood by the WebRTC protocol. This is a technical requirement of all P2P apps. We do not store your IP address, but it may be technically visible to the peer you connect with.
3. How We Share Information (Third-Party Services)
We do not sell your data. However, we use third-party services that may collect data for analytics and advertising purposes in compliance with Google Play Policies:
- Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use your device's Advertising ID and location data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.
- Firebase Realtime Database: Used exclusively for "signaling" (exchanging connection data so devices can find each other) and maintaining the active user pool.
4. Device Permissions
The app requires access to your Camera and Microphone strictly for real-time communication. This access is only active during an ongoing call.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Your preferences and blocklists are stored locally on your device. You can delete all your data at any time by clearing the app's data in your Android settings or uninstalling the app. Firebase signaling data is ephemeral and deleted immediately after a connection is established or canceled.
